Today, we are proud to recognize the Murray County School District Bus Driver of the Year, Jody Jones, driver of Bus 17-91! Mr. Jody is known for his positive demeanor, calm composure, and the genuine care he shows every single day to our students, staff, and families. From greeting students each morning with a smile to building strong relationships with parents and coworkers, he creates an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued. His famous Hawaiian button-up shirts have become a fun trademark that students look forward to seeing, bringing a little extra joy and personality to the school day. Beyond his friendly and hospitable attitude, Mr. Jody exemplifies a true blue-collar work ethic — dependable, hardworking, and always willing to go above and beyond without seeking recognition. Rain or shine, he handles every situation with professionalism, patience, and steady composure. We are incredibly thankful for the impact he makes on our school community and for the care he puts into safely transporting our students each day. Congratulations, Mr. Jody, on this well-deserved honor! #NWEWildcatWay

GLAM Night is tonight, Thursday, April 23rd, 4:30-6:00, and it's going to be SPECTACULAR! 🇺🇸
We're throwing a party to celebrate 250 Years of America, and honestly, you don't want to miss it. Here's what's happening:
🏀 Hit the Gym for games and family fun, with Coach White, then head to the 📚 Library where a guest from Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library will be reading, sign up for a free library card, see Mrs. Paxton for freebies (plus free books for summer thanks to The Marines' Toys for Tots!). Swing by the 🎨 Art Show in our hallways, created by our talented Mrs. Peacock and students, to see what our NWE Wildcats have been creating, and finish strong at the 🎵 Music Performance at 6:00, featuring our District Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Sloane Singleton, and her chorus singing patriotic masterpieces. If the weather permits, the concert will be in our outdoor amphitheater. Please bring a chair, blanket, or towel to sit on. Click on https://forms.gle/xpahy9t2vP7XwjBB9 or scan the QR Code to provide us with Title I End of the Year input.
Here's the fun part: grab a ticket at check-in and get it punched at each station. Visit all four events, and you're in the running for one of the awesome prizes! 🏆 Donated by our GLAM Team and Books-A-Million of Dalton.
Pro tips: Bring your wallet for some delicious Kona Ice 🍦, stop by Affirmation Station to write an encouraging note to your student before GA Milestone and end-of-year testing, pre-order a yearbook, and don't forget to turn in your completed ticket (with your name and teacher's name) before you leave. Drop boxes are at the front and near the gym.
This is the kind of night that brings everyone together. See you there! ✨
